Bob started his career with Allegheny on June 26, 1978 as a
Substation Electrician. His years of experience have brought him to his
current position of Substation Construction Crew Leader. Bob’s work
location is Latrobe. Employees represented by UWUA, Local 102 working
in Latrobe are members of Local 102-D.
Bob has always been an advocate of workers’ rights and a dedicated
union member. Through the years, Bob has held every local union office
from steward through local president for his home local, 102-D. Since
1996, Bob is the elected System Local 102, Secretary/Treasurer -
accepting responsibility above and beyond the call of his position. Bob
is the right hand man to the President of the System and brings a
wealth of experience and expertise to the bargaining table as a member
of the 102 Negotiating Committee. Bob is an Executive Committee member
and an Executive Board member for System Local 102. Since becoming a
System Officer, Bob has been selected by the National UWUA President,
Donald Wightman, to serve on committees for the National Conventions.
At the 2003 convention, Bob served as the Chairman of the Nominating
Committee.
Bob is very committed to the Labor Movement. He is very active outside of 102, holding offices with various organizations. He is currently the President of the Greater Westmoreland County Labor Council. Bob is also an executive board member of the Council and has previously served as Treasurer. He is Secretary for the Westmoreland County Area Labor Management Committee and an Executive Board member of the Labor United Celebration Committee. Bob also is a member of the Pennsylvania Utility Caucus and the Greater Westmoreland County Labor Council Education Committee. Bob also serves as a Democratic Committee person for the South Ligonier District of Westmoreland County.
